Growth Manager
- May 01, 2025
Fueled by the fresh energy of spring, we charged into April with impactful experiences and standout activations. Here are some of the highlights from this past month:
Max and Elke had a good laugh and explored the truth behind greenwashing.
Elke Jones and Max Lenderman published two new episodes of their Voice of Experience podcast in April.
They dug into why they feel brands aren’t creating laugh-out-loud moments anymore in “Why So Serious: Brands, Experiences, & Humor.”
Next, they were joined by GMR’s head of sustainability Fran Sutter and strategist Alla Dragoun to explore the intersecting worlds of brand marketing and sustainability in “Greenwashed and Confused.”

We stole the show with live activations at marquee sporting moments.
April brough the end of March Madness and we helped Nissan and Reese’s go out with a bang at the Men’s and Women’s Final Four in San Antonio and Tampa, respectively.
We partnered with Nissan and House of Highlights to create the Nissan 4v4 Showdown presented by Creator League. This 4-team, half-court tournament featured some of the game's biggest athletes and creators, with Team Rogue, Armada, Frontier, and Murano going head-to-head for the title. Nissan’s activation at the Final Four didn’t stop there.
We also helped them bring to life the 4-Point Shootout where participants were challenged to let it fly from four featured vehicle zones with a connected leaderboard that let contestants see how their skills stacked up against other athletes, creators, and fans competing live in Tampa and San Antonio. One winner scored the trip of a lifetime, and it was Nissan 4 The Win all weekend long.
We also helped Reese’s show up big for Men’s Final Four Friday. Reese’s highlighted their Reese’s Chocolate Lava BIG CUP and SHAQ-A-LICIOUS XL Gummies through roaming street teams and in-stand activations. Then they took over of the NABC All-Star Game, outfitting the players, band and cheerleaders.
Our sports highlights didn’t stop there. We helped Comcast bring to life their Xfinity Extra Bar for their “WiFi is Booming” campaign at WrestleMania in Las Vegas. With just six weeks to make it happen, GMR delivered a booming footprint made with the WWE universe in mind.
Finally, we helped Nissan turn everyday drivers into Formula E legends at an⚡️electrifying⚡️ activation at the Miami E-Prix. While the finish line may have been high-end racing simulators, the journey itself was the experience. Fans moved through the dynamic Nissan Innovation Lab, a tranquil Cherry Blossom Garden, and the impressive Training Center, each highlighting Nissan’s cutting-edge EV technology and design.
Our SOLE Science team shared snippets of their activation adventures.
Alla Dragoun attended the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, where she encountered a lackluster experiential activation for Xyzal.
Meg Stewart visited Garnier’s GlamBot Moment at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles. Garnier provided attendees an iconic VIP experience by creating a playground for self-expression.
Finally, we continued to celebrate awards.
Dan Kubasa attended the Campaign UK Experience Awards where two of our programs were finalists—Nissan’s Heisman House and Nissan’s Formula E activation in Portland, Oregon.
And our Xfinity client took home Silver in the “Best Olympic Activation” category at the Event Marketer Ex Awards.
