GMR MARKETING NOW IN SINGAPORE - 2/7/2011

MILWAUKEE, Wisc., Feb. 2, 2011 – GMR Marketing, the world’s largest engagement marketing agency, has added to its growing global footprint with the opening of a new office in Singapore.

In response to growing global client demand, GMR Singapore will serve as the agency’s hub for the Asia Pacific region, where many multinational corporations maintain headquarters. It is GMR’s 23rd office worldwide. In 2010, GMR commenced operations in the UK, Germany, Poland, Spain and Russia. GMR’s plans call for the opening of further worldwide offices in the upcoming months.

The office in Singapore will be headed by sports marketing pro Lisa Johnson, who joins GMR following a one-year stint as Director of Sponsor Services of the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games. Johnson’s multi-sport experience includes senior client services director work involving four Olympic Games (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012), two Commonwealth Games (Manchester 2002, Delhi 2010) and an Asian Games (Doha 2006).

“Singapore is one of the most influential and strategic locations in our global footprint. So many of the worlds most successful brands are based here, it only made sense for us to have a strategic presence in this market” said Cameron Parsons, GMR’s International Managing Director. “We are also very lucky to have Lisa heading up the team, there are only a handful of people in the world with the background and global experience Lisa brings to the table. Adding Lisa to our existing global strength is a real coup for us and our clients”

Johnson, who is a native of Great Britain, has very extensive experience in the Asian marketplace, having worked in both Delhi and Doha, and has managed and/or activated some of the world’s largest and most recognizable brands throughout the region and the globe.

“I am delighted to be heading up this regional hub for GMR in what is the fastest growth region in the world,” Johnson said. “I am looking forward to working as part of this dynamic team.”
