MILWAUKEE (August 20, 2010) – GMR Marketing has been honored as one of the Top Milwaukee Workplaces by The Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee.

GMR, which is headquartered in New Berlin, WI, was recognized as one of the Top 10 Workplaces in the Medium category (101-1,000 employees). Back in May, GMR was honored by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in its Top 100 Workplaces rankings in the Top Midsize Workplace division (150-449 local employees).

“Once again, this is a testament to the great people who work at GMR,” said GMR founder and CEO Gary Reynolds. “It’s the people who make a company great – not vice-versa – and our GMR family adhere to a work-hard/play-hard formula that continues to make GMR such a success, not only in Milwaukee, but throughout the United States and 10 other countries. We truly appreciate all of their hard work and everything they do.”

The Business Journal had more than 100 nominations for the honor. Quantum Workplace, a human resources survey firm that measures employee engagement, polled employees at each firm and determined winners based on highest job satisfaction scores. GMR had an impressive score of 82.56 percent.

“The one thing that has been made clear to me over the past 18 months as we’ve gone through the economic downturn is that those companies that are continuing to prosper are the ones that put a premium on a fun and creative workplace,” said Business Journal editor Mark Kass. “All of these (honored) firms understand the importance of a ‘top workplace’ – satisfied and happy employees will result in satisfied and happy customers. In these economic times, those are two very important end results.”

GMR was founded in 1979 and has grown into one of the largest and most successful agencies in the world. There are currently 22 GMR offices in 11 countries, with further expansion planned in the upcoming months.
